Today, on January 5th, 2026 the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Aleksandra Sofronijević, together with the Head of the Winter Service Headquarters and the Executive Director of the Sector for maintenance of state roads of the first and second category, Zoran Stojisavljević, and the Assistant Executive Director, Dragan Pavković, visited the “Mislođin” road base in Obrenovac and discussed the current situation and condition of the roads with the authorities and employees.
“Our absolute priority is the safety of all road users. All services are on the ground, working day and night and the situation is under control”, said Minister Sofronijević.
She appealed to citizens not to go on the road without adequate winter equipment and chains, to adjust their speed to the conditions on the road and to follow the instructions of the competent services, stressing that the system works, but that the responsible behavior of each individual is key for safety.
That morning, Minister Sofronijević held a meeting at the Government of the Republic of Serbia, where she stated that all systems and services are fully engaged and that the situation is continuously monitored, with an appeal for maximum caution in traffic.
