A MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PE "ROADS OF SERBIA" AND THE PE "ROADS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA"

A working meeting of representatives of the PE "Roads of Serbia" and the PE "Roads of the Republika Srpska" was held at the premises of the PE "Roads of Serbia" in Belgrade on August 18, 2025. The topic of the meeting was improving cooperation in the areas of maintenance of road facilities connecting the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska, with a special focus on specialist inspections of bridges.

The Assistant Director of the PE "Roads of Serbia" Miodrag Poledica extended a warm welcome to the guests and, on behalf of the Acting Director Zoran Drobnjak, expressed his satisfaction with the success, emphasizing the importance of inter-institutional cooperation for improving the safety and efficiency of the transport infrastructure in the region.

The Director General of the Public Enterprise "Roads of the Republic of Srpska", Milan Janković, thanked the hosts for a warm welcome and constructive exchange of opinions and introduced his colleagues to the organization and activities of his company. He particularly highlighted the challenges they face when inspecting bridges, including limited access to specialized machinery, a lack of trained personnel, and financial constraints on the maintenance of this very important facilities.

During the meeting, opportunities for joint activities in the expert field were discussed, including the exchange of machinery and equipment for specialist inspections, as well as the exchange of professional experience and knowledge between the technical teams of the two institutions. More specific cooperation was also agreed regarding the use of specialized machines for the inspection of bridge structures on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska.

Representatives of both companies assessed the meeting as constructive and expressed their readiness to further improve mutual relations, with the aim of more efficient and safer management of road infrastructure.

The next steps include the development of a joint activity plan and the formation of a working group that will coordinate future technical operations and resource exchanges.
