22.07.2024. The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in the presence of the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, Acting directors of PE"Roads of Serbia" and "Corridors of Serbia" Zoran Drobnjak and Aleksandar Antić visited the works on the construction of the northern bypass around Kragujevac.
The expressway, 22 kilometers long, is designed for speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour. The northern bypass project creates the conditions for the relocation of transit traffic from the city center of Kragujevac, the improvement of environmental conditions, as well as the faster connection of transit flows in the direction of the state road IA category number 1 (E-75) of the Batočina interchange, through Kragujevac to the state road IA category number 5 (E-761) in Mrčajevci.
The complete bypass, for the construction of which 194,000 truckloads of soil will be used, will have five interchanges and 25 buildings, bridges, overpasses and underpasses.
