The long-standing efforts to improve the management system, initiated in 2011 on the basis of a well-established basic model, have demonstrated that standardisation and continuous improvement of the management system, together with the fundamental principles of the excellence model, have become a matter of crucial importance for the operations of “Putevi Srbije” LLC in a constantly changing and turbulent environment.
The integrated management systems at “Putevi Srbije” LLC fully support the stability and development of the Company by strengthening strategic management on the one hand and operational management on the other. The rapid pace of change in the environment in which organisations operate requires, in addition to defining a strategy and developing an operational management system, the establishment of dynamic interaction between strategic and operational management. This means that the processes resulting from the strategy must be capable of responding rapidly and effectively in providing services to users and for the benefit of all stakeholders.
“Putevi Srbije” LLC is committed to continuously improving the quality of its services and aligning all its business activities with the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in the field of occupational safety and health. The Company establishes an occupational safety and health programme and is committed to its consistent implementation - through design solutions, specifications for the procurement of equipment and materials, and project implementation methods, it incorporates technical and technological solutions aimed at preventing or minimising risks to the safety and health of people and to the safety of equipment. It identifies, analyses and assesses risks in the areas of human safety and health in accordance with established criteria.
Implementation of the ISO 9001 – Quality Management System standard at “Putevi Srbije” LLC began in 2010, while the Company was certified to this standard in 2012.
The integrated management systems at “Putevi Srbije” LLC began to develop with the implementation of the ISO 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard, in cooperation with the Department for Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Protection as the organisational unit responsible for the standard. This system was built upon the existing ISO 9001 framework through internal consulting, successfully certified, and subsequently transitioned to ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
In the meantime, “Putevi Srbije” LLC was also certified to ISO 39001 – Road Traffic Safety Management System. The Department for IMS and Business Support Systems provided support to the Department for Traffic Safety in implementing the standard.
Certification to ISO 50001 – Energy Management System was also successfully completed. This system is partially integrated into the existing management system. The Department for Energy Management is responsible for maintaining and improving this system, with the support of the Department for IMS and Business Support Systems.
With the aim of strengthening business excellence and reviewing the underlying principles of the system, between 2012 and 2020 “Putevi Srbije” LLC applied four times for the National Business Excellence Award “Quality Oscar”, under the auspices of the Foundation for Quality Culture and Excellence (FQCE) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. In 2014, the Company received the award in the Partnership and Resources category, while in 2017 it received awards in three categories: Partnership and Resources, Customer Results, and Strategy. In 2020, “Putevi Srbije” LLC received the National Business Excellence Award “Quality Oscar 2020” in the “Excellence Champion” category for public enterprises.
These awards demonstrate that “Putevi Srbije” LLC continuously works on the development and improvement of both its integrated management systems and its processes, while fostering the principles and practices of business excellence.
