THE 5TH SERBIAN CONGRESS ON ROADS OPENED

State Secretary in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mihajlo Mišić, opened the Fifth Serbian Congress on Roads today in Belgrade. Mr. Mišić, on behalf of the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, greeted everyone present and right at the beginning of his speech, he stated that 15 highway routes are currently being built in the Republic of Serbia.

 

"The total investment value of the work currently being carried out is more than 10 billion. Systematic planning of traffic and traffic infrastructure continues. Projects for Kraljevo - Novi Pazar, Požega - Kotroman, the extension of the Danube Corridor to Brza Palanka, and the design of Sector C of the Belgrade Bypass are being worked on. We plan to open 46 km of the Moravian Corridor in two sections by the end of the year, to complete the expressway Šabac - Loznica, Sremska Rača - Kuzmin, and then the section from Pakovraće to Požega. Currently, 642 km of highways are being built in Serbia, which is an impressive result," said Mišić, opening the Congress on Roads.

On behalf of PE "Roads of Serbia" and acting director Zoran Drobnjak, assistant director Miodrag Poledica greeted the present and wished a successful congress, reminding that the entire road infrastructure and highway network form the backbone of the overall economic and social development of every country.

PE "Roads of Serbia", as the manager of the road network, encourages the use of modern technologies and quality products and materials in all processes of rehabilitation, reconstruction, construction and, of course, maintenance of roads, thus ensuring and increasing the basic capital of our country that PE "Roads of Serbia" manages, which is a modern, safe and high-quality road network of the Republic of Serbia, said Poledica.

He also emphasized that sustainable development and environmental protection, management, construction and maintenance of roads, ITS and new technologies, road efficiency and safety are key segments of every project of the road economy, on which participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences.
