Acting director of PE „Roads of Serbia“ Zoran Drobnjak and Executive director of „Monteput“ Ltd. Milan Ljiljanić, signed today, July 16, 2024, in Pakovraće, a Memorandum on business cooperation on construction of highway E – 763, Belgrade – South Adriatic, with the aim of improvement and strenghtening of joint cooperation in developing modern highway network, increasing traffic safety on highways, environmental protection and road maintenance by applying european standards.
The memorandum includes the improvement, strengthening of cooperation and the exchange of experiences, information and documents in the field of designing and building the highway E-763, the Požega - Boljare section, in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. the Mataševo - Boljare section, in the territory of Montenegro.
In accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum, the joint activities of the companies will be carried out through information relevant to all stages of the design and construction of the highway E - 763 Belgrade - South Adriatic, connections between the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro, preparation of project tasks, exchange of information on financing the design and construction of sections of the highway , application of the toll collection system on highway sections and the ITS system, environmental protection and measures that increase the level of traffic safety.
The agreement includes the exchange of information on highway maintenance, current and planned investments, traffic and transport requirements at border crossings, the application of modern traffic safety tools in the phases of planning, design and early exploitation of the highway, participation in working groups to define the contact point of the highway on the border between the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro and the work of interstate commissions and working bodies in order to define the model of the border crossing on the highway between the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro.
The memorandum envisages that the two companies can launch and implement joint projects, studies and research, significant for the entire construction project of the E-763 highway, Belgrade - South Adriatic, exchange knowledge and experience and provide mutual assistance in the field of road traffic.
Both sides will monitor the work and implementation of obligations, through active cooperation with relevant ministries of the two countries.
