On Tuesday, November 6, 2024, a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, PE "Roads of Serbia" and the Business Association "International Transport" was held in the Great Hall of PE "Roads of Serbia".
PE "Roads of Serbia", Sector for Strategy, Design and Development - Department for Traffic Safety, in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, initiated the development of phase II of guiding freight vehicles in transit on state roads in the Republic of Serbia.
The result of the launched initiative is the preliminary version of the "Traffic and traffic signaling project for the guidance of freight vehicles in transit on state roads of the IA category in order to protect the network of state roads of lower category", which was made in accordance with the Regulation on the determination of state roads on which the traffic of freight vehicles must be carried out in transit through the Republic of Serbia - Transit Corridor.
On November 6, 2024, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Business Association "International Transport", where the traffic signaling solutions were presented that will enable the regulation of traffic, in such a way as to ensure the detention of freight vehicles that are of a transit nature moving across the territory of the Republic of Serbia on state roads of the IA category, or to from the border crossings where cargo traffic is carried out, cargo vehicles in transit through the Republic of Serbia take the shortest possible route via state roads of IB category to state roads of IA category.
Representatives of the "International Transport" Business Association gave suggestions and proposals based on which project solutions will be improved and the finalization of the project will be started.
