In order to increase traffic safety, reduce the number and consequences of traffic accidents, the Traffic Safety Agency, the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia - Traffic Police Directorate and PE "Roads of Serbia", with the Automobile Association of Serbia, the Tourist Organization of Serbia and "EKO Serbia", during the summer months jointly implement the campaign "Drive fresh".
For the sake of greater visibility and drawing the attention of drivers and all road users to the importance of the campaign, a giveaway was organized on social networks in which 50 TAG devices for electronic toll collection were distributed - a gift from PE "Roads of Serbia", 10 suitcases with the ABS sign - a gift Traffic Safety Agency and 10 fuel vouchers - a gift from "EKO Serbia", which were awarded today, August 6, 2024, to the lucky winners at a press conference in the "Palace of Serbia" in New Belgrade.
Prizes were awarded to the winners by Branko Stamatović, acting director of the Traffic Safety Agency, Ljerka Ibrović, the head of the Public Relations Department of PE "Roads of Serbia" and the commercial director of "EKO Serbia" Nataša Vukšić, who addressed the media present.
Please note that Electronic toll collection via the TAG device enables the fastest passage through toll stations without stopping and without contact, which significantly shortens travel time and is a cheaper form of toll payment, and most importantly, with the Serbian TAG device it is possible to pay tolls on highways in North Macedonia and Montenegro, without stopping.
Branko Stamatović, acting director of the Traffic Safety Agency, thanked PE "Roads of Serbia" for the help in realizing the campaign and the donation of 50 TAG devices for the prize draw.
Ljerka Ibrović, head of the Public Relations Department of PE "Roads of Serbia", speaking about the importance of the joint performance of all relevant institutions in the "Drive Fresh" campaign, emphasized that only joint efforts can achieve the desired goal - reducing the number of traffic accidents and the number of victims on the roads during the summer months.
Ibrović emphasized that PE "Roads of Serbia", as the manager of state roads, as part of the campaign through the VMS portals, i.e. changeable traffic signals on highways, informs road users about the slogan and message of the campaign - "Drive fresh! Take a break every 2 hours ", in Serbian and English, and appealed to the media to support this and all other campaigns, as well as the great efforts being made to increase traffic safety.
