This year, PE "Roads of Serbia" is also participating in the prestigious International Motor Show, which, under the slogan "Driving not to be missed", will be held from March 20 to 26, 2024.
Representatives of PE "Roads of Serbia", at the exhibition area in Hall 2a of the Belgrade Fair, inform the visitors and guests of the fair about the novelties and advantages of Electronic Toll Collection and TAG devices, the integrated collection system "Toll4All", electric chargers, as well as about the educational campaigns that our Company conducts to raise awareness about traffic safety.
On the first day of the salon's opening, Darko Savić, assistant executive director of the Sector for Toll Collection, addressed the visitors and journalists, with the aim of presenting to the public all the current activities that the Sector for Toll Collection carries out in order to improve the collection system and improve the user experience.
Mr. Savić spoke about TAG devices for electronic toll collection, drawing attention to their popularity “considering that they function in three countries and within one parking lot in Belgrade” and expressed the hope that this year the cooperation will be extended to neighboring Croatia and Greece.
Savić also highlighted the fact that “there are over 900,000 active users of electronic toll collection, the web platform used for integrated toll collection has 105,000 users, two-thirds, or close to 75,000, are users who use collection between the Republic of Serbia and North Macedonia” and that in the past year, there were over 80 million transactions with 100% collection, which certainly speaks in favor of PE “Roads of Serbia” and the closed collection system tolls.
On this occasion, Ljerka Ibrović, head of the Public Relations Department, addressed those present, saying that increasing traffic safety is one of the primary goals and tasks of our Company.
“Traffic safety is a topic that reminds of its seriousness only when a traffic accident occurs. Accidents are remembered only by the survivors and the families of the dead and injured, while the rest generally forget like any unpleasant thing that happens to someone else”, said Mrs. Ibrović and added that “well-designed media campaigns can make a significant contribution to changing behavior and overall reduction in the number and consequences of traffic accidents.”
The educational campaigns that we have been continuously conducting since 2020 also confirm the active role of PE “Roads of Serbia” in improving overall traffic safety:
- by raising awareness about the problems of traffic accidents
- by drawing the public's attention to the importance and possibilities of improving the level of traffic safety
- by educating the population,
- by changing unwanted into desired behavior
On this occasion, Mrs. Ibrović publicly thanked the media companies Euronews Serbia and Newsmax Balkans for their contribution in spreading these important messages by continuously broadcasting educational videos and appealed to the media and professional public to support our campaigns, be socially responsible and get involved in the promotion of our campaigns with the aim of reducing traffic accidents.
In the name of the Euronews Serbia media house, Nataša Jovanović received the thank-you note, while Mihajlo Pavić received the plaque for NewsMax Balkans.
