ROADS OF SERBIA: TRIAL LOAD TESTING OF THE BRIDGE OVER THE SAVA RIVER, ON THE KUZMIN - SREMSKA RAČA SECTION IS GOING AS PLANNED

PE "Roads of Serbia" informs the public that on the first day of the trial load test of the bridge over the Sava River, on the section Kuzmin - Sremska Rača, the reinforced concrete approach structure of the bridge was tested on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The measurement of the static load, with 6 trucks weighing 35 tons each, was performed by a specialized laboratory with the help of measuring devices that measure the deflections of the supports, stresses in the armature, displacement of the supports and rotation of the bearings.

After the static load, a dynamic test was performed, which is performed by passing the vehicle at different speeds. Eigen-frequencies, oscillation amplitude and damping coefficient were analyzed.

In the coming days, testing of the steel structure and the reinforced concrete access structure of the bridge will be carried out on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.

All tests are performed in accordance with the approved Bridge Test Program by test load.

PE "Roads of Serbia" pays special attention to the safety of road facilities because bridges are key infrastructure facilities whose safety, stability, load capacity, reliability and durability have a direct impact on traffic safety and the continuity of transport.
