Miodrag Poledica, assistant director of PE "Roads of Serbia" and executive director of the Sector for Strategy, Design and Development participated in Kopaonik Business Forum 2025, in the panel "Infrastructure and Connectivity Agenda".
Poledica spoke about the future plans and goals of the Public company "Roads of Serbia", large infrastructure projects that are underway (Sremska Rača-Kuzmin, Pakovraće-Požega, Northern Bypass around Kragujevac, Moravian Corridor, Danube Corridor, Fruškogorski Corridor and other) and those that are in the phase of design and planning.
He talked about the positive effects of the construction of highways and expressways, the recently completed projects of the Bypass around Gornji Milanovac, the expressway Iverak-Lajkovac, Šabac-Loznica and other.
Miodrag Poledica stressed as very important the improvement of traffic safety, using specific examples of the Ibarska highway, before and after the opening of the Miloš Veliki highway, the motorway through Belgrade, before and after the opening of the Bypass around Belgrade, as well as the shortened travel time, the constant increase in the number of vehicles on the roads and the attraction of investments in the immediate areas near the highways.
On this occasion, he referred to the challenges in the realization of linear infrastructure projects, from the negotiation phase, the financing phase, the design phase, the resolution of property issues, and the phase of the execution of works.
