PE “Roads of Serbia” appeals to all road users to be especially careful and to adjust their speed to road conditions, because, according to the warning of the Republic Hydro-meteorological Institute, today, on January 6th, 2026 and tomorrow (Wednesday), January, 7th, 2026 in the morning, afternoon and evening hours in western and southwestern Serbia, in the wider area of Belgrade, in southern Banat, Šumadija and Pomoravlje region, and eastern Serbia, a local occurrence of rain (drizzle) is expected, which will freeze on the ground.
On Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 in Belgrade, northern, western, central and southwestern Serbia, in the afternoon and evening, intense snowfall and an increase in the height of the snow cover by 10 to 15 cm, locally and more, are expected.
We appeal to road users to use winter tires, not to go on the road without winter equipment and chains, drive carefully, respect speed limits and adapt to road conditions.
