“Putevi Srbije” appeals to all road users to be especially careful and to adjust their speed to the road conditions, because, according to the warning of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute, today, February 15, 2026, after rain in the morning and afternoon hours, rain is expected to turn into snow in the western parts of Serbia in the middle of the day.
As stated in the warning, the snow will be of temporarily stronger intensity, which is why caution is advised in traffic, especially in western Serbia. Later, in the afternoon and evening, the rain will briefly turn into snow in other regions, locally with the formation of a smaller snow cover.
Also, according to the warning of the RHMI, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, significantly heavier snowfall is expected in the areas south of the Sava and Danube rivers. From 10 to 25 cm of wet snow is expected in lower areas as well.
We appeal to road users to use winter tires, not to set off on the road without winter equipment and chains, to drive carefully, to respect speed limits and to adjust their speed to road conditions.
