In order to accurately inform the public, PE "Roads of Serbia" announce that works on the bridge over the Sava River, on the state road I B, number 21, near Šabac, to install ship signaling are being carried out. The works are being carried out with alternating traffic flow on one than on the other lane, during the day.
The work on installing cables for powering navigation signs and road signs with variable displays was completed on August 17, 2025, when cameras for video surveillance of the bridge were also installed.
On August 20, 2025, representatives of the contractor and supervision noticed that an attempt had been made to steal cables on the bridge, which caused part of the cables to fall into the water, causing material damage.
All necessary measures have been taken to repair the damage caused in order to ensure the safety of all road users.
The Public Enterprise "Roads of Serbia" appeals to citizens not to participate in such illegal actions, but to report any observed form of theft or destruction of public property to the competent authorities, so that together we can contribute to a safer and more responsible environment for all road users.
