In the great hall of PE "Roads of Serbia" on July 17, 2025. the final conference of the Danubridge Connect Project was held - Project Implementation of new and advanced infrastructure review technology for better cross-border cooperation and connectivity in the Danube region. Partners in the project are PE "REoads of Serbia", Hrvatske ceste d.o.o., Ernst & Young Advising d.o.o.
The goal of the project is to improve connectivity and sustainable mobility in the Danube region, especially outside the TEN-T corridor. The focus is on improving the safety and efficiency of the transport network, especially in the maintenance of bridges and viaducts. The project supports the connection of secondary road networks with the TEN-T network, contributes to regional development and promotes a preventive approach to the maintenance of vital infrastructure in the Danube region.
As part of the project, an innovative method of 3D photogrammetry was tested using drones for the inspection of three cross-border bridges between Croatia and Serbia.

Assistant Director Miodrag Poledica, Assistant Executive Director of the Sector for Strategy, Design and Development Jovana Đurović and Mladen Marković, Chief Engineer for the National Road Infrastructure Integration Program, addressed the audience in front of PE "Roads of Serbia".
Through the online platform, Danijel Tenžera, chief engineer of the Extraordinary Maintenance Department, Ivan Barišić, chief engineer of the Osijek Technical Office and Ivica Jukić, head of the Osijek Technical Office, spoke about the project on behalf of Croatian Roads, while Antea Radić, deputy financial director and expert in socioeconomic analysis and EU funds, spoke on behalf of Ernst & Young.
The results of bridge analysis using drones and the innovative method of 3D photogrammetry will be compared with standard bridge inspections, in order to choose the most reliable and cost-effective method for regular inspections of the infrastructure.
