The mounting of the bridge over the river Sava at Ostružnica steel structure on the Belgrade bypass has been completed. This completes the construction of the bridge structure in the length of 1,965 metres, as the largest engineering structure on the Belgrade bypass.
The workers and the engineers have, after several days of work, mounted the steel bridge structure, in the length of 65.50 m and weighing over 400 tons, onto its position, to its designed level and longitudinal grade, which completes the last segment of a unique method of steel bridge construction and a great engineering challenge which the designers, contractors, supervisors and the investor were faced with, has been overcome.
