PE "Roads of Serbia" urges road users to be especially careful when driving and to adjust their speed to road conditions, because, according to the warning of the Republic Hydrometeorological Service, freezing rain is expected in Serbia on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, and Thursday, January 18, 2024. On Wednesday morning, January 17, 2024, in northеrn Vojvodina, in southwestern and central Serbia, weak mixed precipitation (snow and rain that can freeze to the ground) is expected in some places, with a tendency to move the precipitation zone further to the east and northeast during the morning.
Also, according to the warning, more intense freezing rain is expected in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, January 17/18, 2024, as well as on Thursday morning, January 18, 2024, in the wider area of eastern Serbia, in Timočka and Negotinska Krajina, as well as in the mountainous areas in this region.
Drivers are advised to use winter tires, obay speed limits and adjust speed to road conditions.
