During the Christmas holidays, from 6 January to 10 January 2022, the left bridge structure was launched across the river Sava at Sremska Rača, thus sliding the steel bridge into its final position in the full motorway profile on 11 January, 2022.
Both steel structures, the left and the right one, each weighing 2,700 tons, were transported from Turkey. They were assembled, protected and longitudinally launched into its final position.
The bridge in the length of 1,310 metres, is a part of the motorway 18 kilometres long, which will connect the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., the Republic of Srpska.
