On 22 January, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, together with his associates, representatives of the PE "Roads of Serbia", the Mayor of Valjevo, Lazar Gojković, the President of the Municipality Lajkovac, Andrija Živković and the representatives of the Chinese company "China Shandong International“, visited the construction works on the expressway Valjevo - Lajkovac and on that occasion, said that he was satisfied with the work pace of the Chinese company.
"The expressway will be 18 kilometres long, the value of the project is 158 million euros, and, thanks to our Chinese partners, the works are executed in line with the time schedule, so Valjevo will gain a leading position in Western Serbia, and in a few years, it will become a main engine of national growth" the Minister pointed out.
The section Iverak - Lajkovac, 18.3 km long, with two lanes for each direction, has been designed for the speed of up to 100 kilometres an hour, it will connect Valjevo with the motorway "Miloš Veliki" (E-763), as well as parts of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina with the motorway "Miloš Veliki" and further on, via the Corridor 10, with Bulgaria and Greece.
