Construction of bridge over river Sava at Sremska Rača at border crossing between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the section of future motorway Belgrade - Sarajevo from Kuzmin to Sremska Rača is progressing ahead of the schedule.
“The tenth phase of incremental launching of steel structure over river Sava is completed. This implies that five and a half tons of load have been launched over 300 meters to the first pier in Sava riverbed on the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, said Dragan Jocić, the Supervisor.
Winter conditions will not affect time-frame of works. The Contractor has enabled smooth running of works on construction of anti-corrosion finishing of bridge structure, protected from external and weather influences.
“Once the bridge is placed in its final position, the works on access roads will continue, and that means removal of temporary hill, construction of piers and access concrete structure, so that bridge could be entirely connected and become functional”, Mr. Jocić announced.
