PE “Roads of Serbia" is informing that all I and II category state roads in the Republic of Serbia and access roads to border crossings and ski resorts are passable and traffic is flowing without interruptions on the entire territory of Serbia.
1800 road workers and over 800 trucks and snow removal machines are in the field 24 hours a day, ready to intervene at any moment for the purpose of safe traffic flow.
We would like to stress that the level of machinery employment can be higher in cases of natural disasters and depending on their strength level, and road workers are ready to react in accordance with the developments in the field.
We have at our disposal sufficient quantities of salt, crushed stone aggregate, grit and cold asphalt mixture for the remedy of potholes.
Due to announced low temperatures, there is a possibility of occasional black ice on roads, especially on sections stretching along rivers, valleys, gorges and on road structures as well.
PE “Roads of Serbia" is appealing to drivers not to travel unless necessary, because of wet carriageways and low temperatures, possible black ice and low visibility on certain sections, and if they do, they must have winter equipment and snow chains in mountainous and hilly regions, and obey the speed limits, while adjusting their speed to the road conditions.
