APPEAL OF PUBLIC ENTERPRISE “ROADS OF SERBIA”

PE “Roads of Serbia” appeals to traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and to adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia, on 5th and 6th Feb. 2023, a snowstorm is expected in the mountain regions. New precipitation will be weaker in comparison with the previous 36 hours, but the strong and stormy northwestern wind will form snow drifts. The gusts today, 5th Feb.2023, will be 20 m/s (more than 70 km/h), and on Monday, 6th Feb. 2023, 15 m/s (approximately 55 km/h) in the morning and the afternoon, while the wind is expected to weaken and the weather to stabilize in the afternoon and the evening.

Also, according to the warning, from 6th Feb. to 11th Feb.2023, moderate and strong frosts are expected in the morning hours, especially in the mountains and Pešter, so ice days are expected in some locations. The temperatures will be on the rise as of the following weekend.

We advise drivers to use winter tires, obey the speed limits, and adapt their speed to winter road conditions.
