HISTORICAL RESULTS OF THE "DRIVE FRESH" CAMPAIGN

Traffic Safety Agency, Ministry of the Interior of Serbia - Traffic Police Directorate, PE "Roads of Serbia", "EKO Serbia", Serbian Auto Moto Alliance and National Tourism Organisation of Serbia held a joint closing media conference on the "Drive Fresh" campaign and presented the results of the campaign.

Acting Director of the Traffic Safety Agency Branko Stamatović, Slaviša Lakićević, Head of the Traffic Police Administration, Aris Karousos, Director of "EKO Serbia", and Ljerka Ibrović, Head of the Public Relations Department PE "Roads of Serbia" by recorded video statement, General Secretary of AAS Milan Nikolić, and Predrag Stanić on behalf of the Tourism Organization of Serbia addressed the media.

The campaign "Drive Fresh" aimed to reduce the number of traffic accidents, fatalities, and serious injuries in the summer months when the intensity of traffic increased.

The campaign achieved a historic result and during July and August of this year, 74 people lost their lives on the roads, which is the lowest number of traffic fatalities in the last 23 years, since records have been kept.

Ljerka Ibrović, Head of the Public Relations Department greeted those who were present by video message on behalf of JP "Roads of Serbia" and acting director Zoran Drobnjak, and pointed out that the joint implementation of the "Drive Fresh" campaign was very important because it contributed to the achievement of positive results, both in reducing the number of injured and in reducing the number of fatalities in traffic.

Ibrović stressed that the joint action and efforts and presented results are an incentive for all participants in the campaign to continue working together to further increase traffic safety.
