ROADS OF SERBIA: READY FOR INCREASED NUMBER OF VEHICLES ON HIGHWAYS

PE "Roads of Serbia" is ready and organized to welcome the increased intensity of traffic on Serbian highways when it is expected that, due to the New Year and Christmas holidays, about 110,000 vehicles will pass through the Belgrade toll station alone during the coming weekend, in both directions, which is about 6% more compared to the same period last year, when 103,600 vehicles passed.

In order to allow vehicles to pass smoothly, the Roads of Serbia have intensified work at toll stations, increased the number of toll operators at the toll stations, and all channels for collecting tolls and distributing cards are in operation 24 hours a day without a break.

Please note that the fastest passage through toll stations is enabled by electronic toll collection (ETC), which significantly shortens travel time and allows vehicles to pass without stopping, and at the same time represents a cheaper form of toll payment.

In the Republic of Serbia, approximately 765,000 devices for electronic toll collection are currently in use, and in 2023, as of November, 45% of the total vehicle traffic was made up of transactions made with TAG devices.

PE "Roads of Serbia" appeals to all road users to respect speed limits and adjust their speed to road conditions, not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so as not to endanger their lives and the lives of others.

PE "Roads of Serbia" wishes all road users a happy New Year and Christmas!
