Today, August 21, 2023, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, together with Acting Director of the PE “Roads of Serbia”, Zoran Drobnjak, Assistant Director of the PE “Roads of Serbia”, Ivan Tejić, President of the City Municipality Surčin, Stevan Šuša, and the representatives of the contractor, the Chinese company “CCCC“, visited the works on the construction of the interchange Jakovo, on the I A category state road no. 2, Belgrade – South Adriatic, section Surčin – Obrenovac, at the intersection of the motorway E-763 with the local road Surčin – Jakovo.
The total length of the roads will be 2.23 km, while the area of the slip road and emergency lane widening carriageways is 11.23m2.
Construction of one-way roads with carriageways 6.00 m wide and 1.50 m shoulders is planned. The existing emergency lane, 2.50 and 0.50 m wide, turns into slip roads, 3.50m and 0.50 m wide respectively. The length of the lanes for acceleration or slowing of vehicles is 25.00 m. The width of the on-ramp and off-ramp is 6.00 m.
Interchange Jakovo will enable faster access to the motorway “Miloš Veliki” not only to the inhabitants of Jakovo and other settlements within the Municipality of Surčin, but also to the industrial zone in Jakovo, and the center of Surčin itself will be protected from the transit and cargo traffic, thus reducing congestions and increasing the safety of all traffic participants.
