Today, at 12:30 p.m., the first vehicles passed through the Jakovo interchange.
Four one-way traffic lanes were built with a roadway width of 6.0 meters (one-lane roadway 3.5 m with an emergency lane of 2.5 m) and a banks width of 1.50 meters.
The total length of roads is 2,242 km, and the road surface of inflow and outflow roads and expansion of the highway emergency lane is 11,230 m2.
Lanes for deceleration and acceleration of vehicles are on the part of the emergency lane of the highway profile.
The construction also included public lighting for new roads, telecommunications infrastructure, traffic detection system and video surveillance.
The newly built interchange will satisfy future users of the highway, especially those going to the industrial zone in Jakovo, and it will also provide faster access to the highway for all residents of the surrounding settlements. The center of Surčin will be protected from transit and freight traffic, which will reduce congestion and increase the safety of all road users.
