In the premises of the municipality of Surčin, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, acting director of PE “Roads of Serbia” Zoran Drobnjak and the director of the Chinese company “CCCC” Yang Dong, signed the Annex 3 to the Contract on the design and construction of inflow and outflow roads on the I A category state road No. 2, Belgrade - South Adriatic for section Surčin - Obrenovac in Jakovo, at the intersection of motorway E 763 with the local road Surčin - Jakovo.
The interchange construction design in Jakovo is worth more than 3.3 million dollars, the investor is the Public Enterprise “Roads of Serbia” and the contractor is the Chinese company “China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC)”.
The future Jakovo interchange will provide faster access to the “Miloš Veliki” motorway not only for the residents of Jakovo and other settlements of the municipality of Surčin, but also for the industrial zone in Jakovo, and the center of Surčin will be protected from transit and freight traffic, which will reduce congestion and increase the safety of all traffic participants.
The total length of the designed roads is 2,235 km, and the area of the road surface of the inflow and outflow roads and the expansion of the motorway emergency lane is 11,230m2. The construction of one-way traffic lanes with a roadway width of 6.00 m and shoulders of 1.50 m is planned.
The installation of deceleration and acceleration lanes on the part of the emergency lane in the motorway’s profile is also planned. The existing emergency lane with the width of 2.50 and 0.50 m is converted into an outflow and inflow lane with the width of 3.50 and 0.50 m. The length of deceleration and acceleration lanes is 25.00 m. The width of the inflow and outflow connection is 6.00 m.
The signing was attended by representatives of the relevant ministry, the city of Belgrade, contractors and designers, as well as representatives of local self-government.
