ROADS OF SERBIA: WORKS ON CONSTRUCTION OF MOTORWAY SREMSKA RAČA - KUZMIN ARE PROGRESSING

The PE Roads of Serbia continues to inform the public on the progress of construction of the major infrastructure projects and upload videos to the YouTube channel.

The construction of a section of the motorway Kuzmin – Sremska Rača is of significant geostrategic importance since it interconnects the capital cities of the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it makes a connection with the Pan-European Corridors.

Section of the motorway Kuzmin – Sremska Rača, of a total length of 18 km along with the bridge over the river Sava, is a part of the project on construction of the motorway E-761, Belgrade – Sarajevo. This road route is planned to start at the existing junction grade separation Kuzmin on the motorway Belgrade – Zagreb, and it stretches all to the existing border crossing at Sremska Rača.

The bridge over the river Sava at Sremska Rača is strategically the most important structure on a section of the motorway Kuzmin – Sremska Rača. In early 2022, completion works were performed on the steel bridge structure which was then anchored to its permanent supports. Construction of the bridge over the river Sava is progressing well – the steel structure over the river is completed, and there are ongoing works on concrete approach structures on both riversides.

There are also works on structures on this road route – construction of bridges, overpasses, and culverts.

The progress of works is available for watching in our latest video at the following link: https://youtu.be/Wwg40Lz8s_U
