APPEAL OF PUBLIC ENTERPRISE “ROADS OF SERBIA“

Public Enterprise “Roads of Serbia“ appeals to traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia, today, 26.02.2023, a higher amount of precipitation is expected in the Podrinje region and the southwest of Serbia (from 30 to 40mm in 24 hours), mostly in the districts of Mačva and Zlatibor.

The Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia has stated that in Vojvodina, Belgrade, Šumadija, western and southwestern Serbia, snow is expected predominantly in the first part of the day, while in the middle of the day and the afternoon, the snowfall will weaken, with the occurrence of rain and snow. In the evening and during the night, it will snow again with increased intensity, and a snow cover from 5 to 20cm in height is expected in the west and southwest, locally even more. In southern Moravica and Raška districts, rainfall is expected, which will turn into ice on the ground.

Also, according to the warning, in the Belgrade area, on 26.02.2023, snow is expected in the first part of the day, and in the afternoon the precipitation will weaken (with the occurrence of rain and snow) and cease for a short time. In the evening and at night, heavier snow again – 5cm is expected in the lower, and up to 15cm in the higher parts of the city.

We advise drivers to use winter tires, obey the speed limits, and adapt their speed to winter road conditions.
