After improvement of weather conditions, the works on construction of the motorway E-763 “Miloš Veliki”, section Pakovraće-Požega, continue.
This section is specific due to the fact that it passes through oppressive geographic terrain that demands construction of numerous bridges and tunnels.
Construction of 2 tunnels, Mujino brdo and Laz – designed to contain two separate tubes each, is in progress.
Travel time from Čačak to Požega will be significantly shortened upon construction of this section, from current 45 to 20 minutes.
At the interchange Preljina, the motorway Miloš Veliki will be connected to the Morava Corridor, i.e. future motorway E-761, Preljina-Pojate, through which it will be also connected with the motorway E-75 Belgrade-Niš.
The motorway section connecting Preljina and Požega will be of great importance for linking Serbia with the region, since it is a continuation of the motorway Miloš Veliki towards the border crossing with Montenegro, but it is also a segment of the future motorway Belgrade-Sarajevo, because there are additional 60 km of the motorway that remain to be built to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
