In the presence of the executive director of the Sector for Investments at the PE "Roads of Serbia", Aleksandar Kostadinović, the state secretary in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mihajlo Mišić, representatives of the companies Sinohydro and PowerChina, the rehabilitated section of the I A category state road no. 1 from the Ražanj interchange to the Aleksinac interchange, 23.711 km long (left lane), was opened to traffic today.
The heavy maintenance work on this section of the motorway was carried out as part of the extensive "Road Rehabilitation and Safety Project", implemented by the PE "Roads of Serbia".
The construction works carried out included the installation of 59 km of protective fencing, the replacement of wire fences on both sides of the motorway and the repair of 10 bridges, 51 culverts and 8 retaining walls. More than 70,000 tons of asphalt were installed.
It is important to note that the works were carried out under traffic, with special measures for safe traffic flow.
