PE “Roads of Serbia” informs the public that today, in the afternoon hours, at the intersection of the I А category state road no.1 and the I A category state road no.4, at the interchange Trupale, the interchange leg for the direction Bela Palanka – Vranje, on the overpass, at km 431+150, a protective concrete layer broke off from the overpass structure, as reported by the police around 16.30.
The on-call teams of road workers immediately inspected the site and placed the adequate traffic signage.
Durimg the evening, the on-call road workers performed a special inspection of the overpass and commenced the removal of unstable parts of the protective concrete layer, and will continue to do so tomorrow.
A permanent remedy of the overpass damage will be carried out when the weather conditions are favourable.
