President Vučić Visits Construction Works on Segment of Motorway Miloš Veliki, Section New Belgrade - Surčin

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, visited today the construction works on a segment of the motorway Miloš Veliki, section New Belgrade – Surčin, in the presence of the Ambassador of China in Serbia, Chen Bo, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, the director of PE“Roads of Serbia“, Zoran Drobnjak, the representatives of the City of Belgrade and Surčin, and the representatives of the Contractor as well.

During the visit to the works on the interchange Surčin 1, the President pointed out that the works are nearly completed, praised the Chinese contractors and announced the opening of this road to traffic on 31st March of this year.

He also emphasized that, when the section Surčin – New Belgrade is completed, the citizens will get the shortest link with the motorway Miloš Veliki and that the travel time from Belgrade to Čačak will be only one hour.

The section New Belgrade – Surčin is 7.9 km long, it is designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, and has been recognized as a structure of importance for the Republic of Serbia. 

The President used the opportunity and, while addressing the journalists, looked back on other infrastructure projects, selecting the project of the Belgrade bypass construction as the most important one.
