The 12-kilometer section of the Iverak - Lajkovac expressway, from Lajkovac to the "Divci" interchange, was opened for traffic at 12:00 today.
At the "Lajkovac" interchange, vehicles will be able to enter the route in question in the area of the roundabout, and exit from the route will be possible at the "Divci" interchange (state road IIA category number 150, section: Divci - Mionica).
In Divci, vehicles will be able to enter the route in question from state road IIA category number 150 (section: Divci - Mionica) via two newly built junctions. The exit from the route is at the "Lajkovac" loop in the area of the roundabout.
Most of the expressway route is located in the flood zone of the Kolubara River, about 52% of the route.
The adopted calculation speed is 100 km per hour, and the following elements were applied:
- driving lanes 4x 3.50 m = 14.0 m;
- edge strips 4x 0.50 m = 2.0 m;
- median strip 1x 4.0 m = 4.0 m;
- banks 2x 1.5 m = 3.0 m.
A two-way parking lot was built.
During construction, environmental impact control was regularly carried out, water and soil were sampled.
With the construction of state road IB category number 27, section Iverak-Lajkovac, the city of Valjevo will be connected to the highway Belgrade - South Adriatic, and will represent a cross link in the road network of the Republic of Serbia. It will also connect parts of Republika Srpska (BiH) with highway E-763 (Belgrade South Adriatic) and further via corridor 10, with Bulgaria and Greece.
