Today, 24 October 2023, at 13:00h, the bridge over the Great Bačka Canal at Sombor was released to traffic.
All traffic participants can enjoy more comfortable and safer driving on the section Sombor - Apatin.
The rehabilitation of the bridge, constructed in 1965, commenced on 9 June 2023 and was completed within the deadline.
Since the carriageway on the bridge and the approach slabs was clad with stone cubes which had deteriorated, a rehabilitation of the entire superstructure of the bridge with approach slabs has been performed.
Drainage of atmospheric water using collector pipes was constructed, new pedestrian paths and cycling lanes were constructed on both sides, a new crash barrier with handrails was installed along the entire bridge and the approach slabs, all installations were replaced…
