The public enterprise "Roads of Serbia" in cooperation with members of the emergency services, the Emergency Management Sector - Fire and Rescue Unit, the Traffic Police Administration and the Emergency Medical Service, on October 26, 2023, on the state road IA category number 2 in the tunnel " Brančić", conducted a simulation of an extraordinary event.
During the exercise, based on a jointly defined operational plan, a simulation of an emergency event was carried out and practiced, coordinated activities of the aforementioned services were presented to evacuate people, extinguish fires and eliminate the consequences of a simulated emergency event.
Joint exercises are organized periodically, in accordance with the legal obligations of the road manager, both for persons employed in the Tunnel - operational centers of PE "Roads of Serbia" and for members of the emergency services, for the purpose of comprehensive preparation for responding to various emergency situations.
The fire drill in the Brančić tunnel was conducted in a high-quality and well-organized manner, with a high level of readiness and responsiveness of all participants.
