PE “Roads of Serbia” joins also this year the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, under the traditional slogan REMEMBER. SUPPORT. ACT.
The World Day of Remembrance dedicated to the millions of traffic accident victims worldwide was first marked by the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims (FEVR) in 1995 and on the recommendation of the UN, this special day takes place every year on the third week of November since 2005 and is dedicated to these victims in a large number of countries around the world.
At the beginning of the new Decade of Action for Road Safety, from 2021-2030, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims has taken on a particularly important role.
PE "Roads of Serbia" with its active actions draws attention to the importance of responsible and conscientious behavior in traffic every day, informs the public about the state of the roads, and maintains and improves the quality of the national road network to achieve the best possible conditions for safe driving.
To reduce the number and consequences of traffic accidents, PE "Roads of Serbia" has been conducting educational campaigns to raise driver awareness and increase traffic safety since March 2020, and so far it has launched and implemented five campaigns on the topic of maintaining a safe vehicles sequence interval, about use of emergency lane and destruction of traffic signals.
PE "Roads of Serbia" continuously implements socially responsible activities in the field of traffic safety, and two more educational campaigns are underway.
